RAILPost is a sophisticated projector that throws light away from the post, efficiently illuminating walkways and stairs. The factors of lighting intensity and uniformity can be optimised at the design stage by picking one of a choice of lenses with spreads from 16-70 degrees. However, the principal factor controlling uniformity is the distance that light can be projected away from the handrail. So, in order to provide the optimum performance, we machine the inclined projector position (within the body) at anywhere between 0-40 degrees.

Despite its appearance, RAILPost is incredibly tough and water-resistant. Manufactured in Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel to provide excellent corrosion resistance. Waterproof to IP67, vandal resistant to IK10.
Installation
Machine 30mm diameter hole (s) into the post and insert RAILPost asymmetric projectors using our dedicated tool.
With attention to theft, our retention system holds the body within the handrail, it can only be removed with this tool.
LED Handrail drivers and Emergency
Last but not least is the choice of LED Handrail Driver.
Above all else, safety has to be the main concern and on this basis, the choice is either Constant Current or Constant Voltage.

Constant Current
Series connection. The easiest circuit to install, connecting one to the next with a single wire return.
The driver provides a constant amperage, but as the number of RAILPost increases so must the voltage, by nominally 3 volts per unit. In order to comply with SELV, we recommend Class 2 drivers at a maximum output of 48volts d.c. As a result, this means a maximum of 15 RAILled’s per driver.
Constant Voltage
Parallel / Series connection. A 24-volt d.c. supply requiring Dc-Dc converters in order to power up to 6 RAILPost’s per converter.
The driver provides a constant voltage of 24 volts d.c resulting in compliance with SELV and the connection of any number of RAILPost’s, limited only be cable loss.
Emergency
We provide 3hour Maintained battery back up for 24volt Constant Voltage operation
In order to operate on UPS Emergency systems, we can provide A.C. drivers that will operate on a d.c. voltage as well

Machine 30mm diameter holes in the tube and insert RAILPost projectors using our dedicated tool. No additional fixings to lose, simply insert our dedicated tool and install.
Insertion / extraction time is less than 10 seconds.
With attention to theft, our retention system holds the body securely within the handrail.
It can only be removed with the dedicated tool.
